How to publish and share a website from your phone
Sometimes the page you want to share is already on your phone: a file a friend sent you, a ZIP you downloaded or code a chatbot just wrote. You do not need a computer to put it online. Here is how to do it from any phone.
Step by step
Open SiteUp
Open siteup.fyi in your phone browser, or open the SiteUp app on Android.
Add your page
Tap Choose HTML file to pick a file or a ZIP from your phone, or tap Paste code and paste what you copied.
Publish
Pick a link name if you like and tap Publish.
Share
Tap Share to send the link on WhatsApp, Telegram or any app, or show the QR code on your screen.
On Android
The SiteUp app adds itself to the share menu. In WhatsApp, Files, Gmail or a chatbot app, share an HTML file, a ZIP or copied code to SiteUp and it opens ready to publish. You can also pick a whole folder from your phone storage and save QR codes straight to your gallery.
Prefer the browser? siteup.fyi works in Chrome on Android too, including file and folder picking.
On iPhone and iPad
Open siteup.fyi in Safari. Tap Choose HTML file to pick from the Files app, iCloud Drive or downloads. A ZIP works well when your page has several files. For code from a chatbot, copy the answer, open Paste code and paste it.
Sharing tips
- WhatsApp shows a preview card for links. Send the link on its own line so it is easy to tap.
- In person, open the QR code and let others scan your screen.
- For groups, choose a short, readable link name such as
class-trip-2026. - Private pages can have a password under More options. Share the password separately from the link.
Managing your site from your phone
Sites you publish are saved in My sites in the same browser or app. From there you can renew, update, add a password or delete. To manage the same site from another device, copy the manage link and open it there.
Common questions
Do I need the app?
No. Everything works in the phone browser. The Android app adds share menu support, folder picking and saving QR codes to the gallery.
Where are downloaded files on my phone?
On Android, open the Files app and look in Downloads. On iPhone, open the Files app and check Downloads or Recents.
Can I publish photos as a gallery?
Use a template such as Portfolio, or ask an AI for a photo gallery page and upload it together with your photos in a folder or ZIP.
